Bangla Hub was founded in 2007. As a non-profit organisation it provides arts, literature, and other cultural services to the Bengali community and other organisations in Australia. Bangla Hub is reviving a long-lasting need of Bengali literature, recreational resources and cultural services for 1st and 2nd generation of Bengali people who are living in this multicultural society.
A group of professionals are voluntarily working for Bangla Hub including IT, education, research, library, business, art, media and government organisations. Bangla Hub constantly drive to create unique community services for Bengali speaking man woman and children, also bridging with the wider community through literature and cultural exchange.
Bangla Hub initiated Bangla Art Exhibition is the most popular service event that Bangla Hub is offering at present. Recently in April 2018 Bangla Hub successfully initiated the first Bangla Street Festival in Lakemba to celebrate Bengali New Year. This event was supported by the Canterbury Bankstown City Council, Bengali Business owners, local community members including new migrants and refugees.
